Sing A New Song…
Remember, remember, the 11th of November,
Those who for our country once fought,
At the end of their wits, but they held back the Blitz:
Make sure they are never forgot.
REMEMBER.
“Wipe the tears away, wipe the tears from your eyes… the real battle yet begun to claim the victory Jesus won… how long to sing this song?” - U2.
“I’ve walked down roads where the devil’s been, where the kids are seeing things that we never have seen… and the ancient stone knows a deeper tale about a bloody King who won the Holy war… Heaven is my home, and there’ll be no shame to bear… Heaven is my home, and there’ll be no refugees…” - Delirious?.

So real Osc - Jesus, our King of Kings, sacrificed as were so many young men and women in theose dreadful wars. Interesting that the Remembrance Poppy is also blood red! I just thank God that you see these links Osc. The magnitude of what God has done for us all will never be lost to you. Thanks for stirring me up and making the connection between the sacrificial death of soldiers and the overwhelmingly unbearble sacrifice God made of His only son to atone for our sins. Love you so much. You are an inspiration to me. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

That’s really great what you’ve written. I’ve never thought about rememberance day by refering to song lyrics. The song lyrics sum up mwhat that day is truley about - remebering the lives of heroic people who lost their lives fighting in many wars all over the world.
The delirous? lyrics suggest to me that God can conquer all and that in the end the war will be won.
Thanks for writng these ideas. They make me think differently.
